So i have an old Korg X5D keyboard that i have been trying to connect to FL Studio using a midi connector seen here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003KXEDVQ/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but there are some problems.
Fl recognizes the midi connector and list's it but after i enable it it does not work. it does not show it as "active". i think it is a problem with either the connector or the Korg because when i tried Midi-OX it did not get a response, but again recognized it. i went through the Korg's options to make it output Midi. the cable has 3 lights, red yellow and green. no idea what any of them are but red which is power and the only light that is on. can someone point me in the direction of what to do? i think i may need a new driver. im on windows 7 64. |

Yea my Midi cable might have a miss print on the In and Out lables so for everything i tried i also tried switching them. so far no luck. i don't think it is that easy of a problem though i wish it were. |

Had the same problem, cheap cable was no good.
bought a better cable, everyone happy.
That cheap cable doesn't have shielding either. |
