The Kronos X model started shipping well after the problems with the keybed on the original were solved. I'm not sure what the consensus on the forum from other members is, but I don't think I've heard of anyone with a Kronos X having that problem.

I purchased my Kronos 73 X 1 year ago (end of this month) and I have had no keybed issues at all (knock on wood).

Not completely solved imho. I have KX73 and F4 key clicks, although there is no actional problem. I didn't understand why it sounds like something loosened, however I have guarantee and I therefore keep my mind clean.

Go for it, Kronos is uncomparable on its land.

Cheers,
-B.

There's no valid reason not to update your OS to the latest version.
Not only will it fix specific bugs (which you might not have encountered yet); it also gives you new features like extra user banks and user sample streaming from your SSD.
