New user to the midi functions. I am trying to send note data only from the X50 to a Yamaha MM8. Midi OUT on X50 to midi IN on the MM8. I must be missing a setting somewhere as I get nothing. If possible I only want to send the key (note) data. Thanks in advance..... |

I'm not sure if there are MIDI filters on the Korg for SENDING MIDI data, there is for receiving, but these functions you should find on the Yamaha (if they are available).
Also the Yamaha should be set into a 'mode' that receives the notes from the Korg (especially if they are set to different MIDI channels). _________________

Check that the channel you are sending on is the same as the channel the MM8 is receiving on. This will vary depending on whether you are in Program or Combi mode (Voice or Performance mode on the Yamaha unit.) |
