I need to set up a combination or patch on my x50 to run a hammond xm1 module for a gig. I thought I could set it up so I could split the keyboard and send one half using channel 1 and the other using channel 2 to control the upper and lower manuals of the hammond. I also wanted to be able to switch between using it as a controller for the module and using its on sounds by just changing the combination in the banks.

Although I can set the various layers, in a combination, to different midi channels it all seems to be overridden by the global setting which can only be on one channel at a time. So I can only use one sound from the module at a time instead of both manuals. Can anyone please help?
