I got the above mic for Christmas and want to make sure that it will work well with the Kronus. The first problem seems to be it has USB and XLR connections but I think I need 1/4" male end to go into the Kronus.
Let me know your thoughts and what connector I need. Thanks. |

You need a standard female XLR to 1/4" TRS. I you need phantom power you will need an external power supply for that. _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

sorry, I just noticed it is a dynamic mic, so you won't need an external power supply. _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

The cable I described IS balanced, that is why I recommended it. The Kronos inputs ARE balanced. _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

Just FYI - I don't have that mic but am using my Beyerdynamic opus 81 with the cable described and can verify that it works well once you get the mic/line switch and trim pot set correctly. _________________
