|
|
Hello everyone,
I've recently purchased a second hand microSampler and after a week of tests I can say that it has some limitations but sounds very good and it is very intuitive to play.
I will use this machine to trigger samples live as I did with old samplers (I used before the Yamaha A3000 and the Akai S2000).
Basically I need to launch some samples in the same time, then hold them until I switch to other samples.
How can I do that playing in SAMPLER mode?
I figured out to use the Loop Hold button but I cannot "toggle" samples, I mean I can start some loops OR stop some loops but I cannot find a way to start and stop loops simultaneously.
I explain it in another way to be more clear:
I have 4 loops on 4 keys:
C1 D1 E1 F1
I start play C1 and F1 and then I press the LOOP HOLD button to hold them.
How can I switch to D1 and E1 samples turning off the previous ones?
If I press again the loop hold button everything stops, if I press D1 and E1 they start to play but I cannot stop C1 and F1 together, if I press D1 and E1 and LOOP HOLD they are held but C1 and F1 continue to play.
I cannot use the sequencer because I have different bpm for different loops and I don't want change bank because I must be fast and changing bank takes a lot of time.
I hope I was clear enough to explain my problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks! |

hold LOOP HOLD then press all four keys at once. the silent ones will play and the ones that were playing will go silent.
the LEDs above the keys will show you which loops are playing and which ones are silent. |

Thank you robotunes, that's helped me a lot!
The problem now is only that I have to place carefully the samples to have them near to do the trick, because if I have 5 or 6 samples spreaded across the keyboard and I have to change them with others It become hard to press them togeter and also press the LOOP HOLD.
But of course, that solved my problem!
Thanks again! |
