Given that the Roland FA-08 offers sampling, it seems remise of Korg not to open up the Krome a little to be more completive in terms of the Krome’s capabilities.
i.e. Korg could offer customer access to the proprietary "MakeOptionPCM.exe” in order to create their own sample patches on an SD Card. I don’t see how this would erode the Kronos market.
With a little R&D on the KromeOS itself, they could to choose which sample library to load from an SD card, instead of always requiring the “META.IMG” to be in the root folder of the SD Card and only loading that one image.
I guess my question is – are Korg going to keep the Krome competitive by making it more valuable to customers? |
