.... actually as i think about it, this makes me sad that i can't go now and play with my Kronos, you've ruined my day!!!

Only joking !!!

Thanks, really appreciate it.

Thanks Dave, but don't download just yet - I have found a couple of mistakes which I am fixing - plus I got myself onto a roll and am adding some more articulations.
Hopefully I'll have them finished by the time you get back from work.

OK - after much farting about I came up with this.
Being an old Scottish guy is great, but sometimes age just gets in the way - Bummer.

Again, you may want to edit the Progs to suit your yourself.

Articulations are :-
Sustain
Fall
Scoop
Pizzicato
Staccato
Spiccato

Hey Dave
If your looking for more of an Orchestral String Section, try this.
3 Progs in USER-EE.
PS - I am over in Mount Vernon, almost neighbours...
PPS - Gimme a wee shout if you are having problems loading this stuff.

Sounds great but these are for the Motif, is someone working on a Kronos version? or is there a soundset available already?

I've made a kontakt version to export to other keyboards with sampler inside,
110Mo of waveforms.

Hello everybody,

could somebody please provide a fresh link to that Disco Strings Fall patch?

I downloaded it at the time, but somehow the downloaded file seems corrupted. Can´t load it to my Kronos right now, the Kronos can´t recognize the file in Disk Mode.

Thanks a lot for your help!

I don't know if it was my version of the Disco String programs you were looking for, but here is a fresh link to the files.
I loaded them into my Kronos and they work ok.
I have also added a link to my Orchestra Strings programs, however you may want to calm them down a bit - they are Loud...

Hi kaptainkeyboard,

heartfelt thanks for taking the time to help me out.
I´ll try to load those Disco Strings and your Orchestra Strings into my Kronos as soon as I get back home from the office.
You Scottish guys are indeed awesome... Very Happy

You are most welcome Michael.
We pretty much invented the modern world and like to share stuff, although I have to apologise for golf and fracking - apparently they frustrate people for completely different reasons...lol

Hi David,

I managed to download and copy the Disco Strings to my K´s second ssd. Then loaded the Disco Strings.ksc (append) and the pcg. Everything fine, sounds great.
But when I tried to add the _Userbank.ksc to my autoload, it shows RAM size “0” and Disk size “0”. After rebooting the samples did not load.
Did I miss something?

And when I tried to load your Orchestra Strings.ksc to RAM, the message “No readable data” appears. Weird, strange…???

Or is it me? The Computer´s largest source of error is sitting three feet in front of him…
Embarassed

Hi Michael,

I copied the Disco Strings and Orch Strings to my Mac and uploaded them to Dropbox.
Mac’s add weird files to folders which look like “__DISCO STRINGS_UserBank.KSC”
The “__” at the beginning of the file name is meaningless to the Kronos and should be ignored - you should use the file “DISCO STRINGS_UserBank.KSC”.
I’m not sure if this is part of your problem, but it’s worth checking.

It is also possible that your Kronos has added the .KSC file from your “Thumb Drive” and not the “INT HD 2” Drive.
Try this :-
Goto - “Global - KSC Auto-Load”
Highlight the “Disco Strings _UserBank.KSC”.
Click on “Remove KSC”
Click on “Add KSC”
This will take you to Drive Select = Your 2nd Int Drive.
Open the Disco Strings Folder and Open it.
Click on “DISCO STRINGS_UserBank.KSC”
Click on “ADD”
The file will now appear in your Auto-Load list.
Highlight the file so that the Auto-Load box is Red.
Press “Do Auto-Load Now” Button to load All your .KSC files.

When I Load my own “_UserBank.KSC” files, I always load with “Clear All”.
This adds the file to Global Auto-Load which I highlight in Red and do a “Do Auto-Load Now” to reload everything as before plus the new .KSC file.

If I don’t like something, I simply remove it from Auto-Load and Delete the Folder from my Int Drive.

You may want to try the above procedure on the Orch Strings folder and see if it works for you.

Maybe one of the more experienced guys could download the files and let us know if they were successful.

Hi David,

first of all thanks a lot for taking the time to find the reason why it won´t work so far.
I´m a Mac user as well, so the weird Mac files aren´t part of the Problem, I know how to handle them.

I guess I found the reason why the Disco Strings.ksc Shows "0" in RAM and folder size on the autoload page. A closer look into the ksc-file on the usb stick showed me, that there are Sub Folders that weren´t copied from my usb stick (formatted on my K, FAT 32, works like a charm in other cases) to my 2nd ssd. If I try to copy the Sub Folders "manually" to the ksc Folder the utility menu is grey. Thus I can´t copy the sub folders...

That´s kinda strange?

Sorry about this Michael - I have no idea what is going on.
I downloaded both links from dropbox to my Mac and compared all folders contained therein with my Mac backups and my Kronos.
All files are equal in size (kb) and nothing seems to be missing.

Can anyone help us with this ??
Has anyone else downloaded these files with success ??
