This might be a dumb question but is it possible to link the kross to an external mixer ( mine is a roland vm 3100 pro) in a way that whatever fx i use from the mixer on the kross will be on recording within the kross song mode?

i really like some of the fx and want to use them but i rather not have to do it after the fact for things like synth sounds so if there is a way that the kross can record its own sounds being processed by external things would be cool , i am quite new to hardware like this, i have manly only being a singer. i also play keyboards but as far as programming and synths i have only used computer based things

Thanks!

what if you bussed the effect from your board to a separate out of the board, and fed that into the Kross' external input, and then recorded the total Kross' audio onto the SD card in the Kross?

I tried that myself and got a very phased mix at a low volume and then feedback if I turned it up. Maybe I missed something?

this sounds logical if the Korg with the effects signal was being fed back into the Roland mixer and then fed back into the Korg's audio input, which again was fed back into the Roland mixer.

So you'd have to find a way to eliminate that feedback - firstly by only sending the Roland effects into the Korg's audio input, not the Korg's signal itself (the likely cause of phasing) and/or not feeding the Korg's signal back into the Roland once you've got the fx bus feeding the Korg's audio input. This 2nd bit might not be practical, but experiment both ways - it might not be necessary if you turn down the fx send after you've recorded them onto the Korg's SD card.

Or it may not work at all Question Razz Question Exclamation

Well, the VM3100pro is also a digital interface, so you can use it instead of the Kross audio interface, adding its effects.
