Hi mates, this is my first post here.
I have a MS-20 Mini and Im slowly discovering how to make sounds on it. I already had a MS2000 in the past, and Im also a user of Legacy VST. Even though I usually end up in the same dirty, dark, and a little boring sounds with the mini.
But lets cut to the case: Im a big fan of Fenton Fonic music, he gets amazing MS-style sounds using only a Korg DS-10. I know that DS-10 has some unique features, like per note modulation, what is a step beyond the mini. Even so, I cant get anything close to this leads. Here's a example:

Well I think you got the idea. Thank you! |

There's so much going on in that track with reverb, compression, distortion and God knows what else, that the sound source could be anything TBH.
You won't get that sound from any 'dry' analogue synth. It's all in the effects.
There seems to be some sample & hold modulation of the filter cutoff to give it a 'blippy' sound. The timbre is very nasal and narrow suggesting a bandpass filter (HP + LP in series). _________________ MS-20M - SQ-1 - Trinity V3 - Moog Sub 37 - Waldorf Blowfeld |
