Actually you can get one for around that right now. I bought one a few weeks ago, and will order a 4X as soon as I sell it.

Well then I might get the PAx3 for even less.
I do not think I would buy the PAx4 .

I don't compromise on the tools of my trade. My Expedition has 150,000 miles, but I will have the best musical gear possible! _________________ DonM |

It is not a compromise at all.
the PAx4 is not a very significant upgrade.
***couple of nice things to have.
But will not make any difference to me musically.
You all have been using the PAx3 for years. And it has been more than enough in most cases. The PAx3 will still perform great for many years to come.
Now if they had made some really game changing innovations. Then I would probably buy a x4. _________________ PA900, Sonar Platinum, Live 9 suite, Keylab 61

Streaming audio isn't a game changer? A ROM size massively increased isn't a game changer? Loading sounds and styles directly from external memory (no needing to make sure everything you want for the show is pre-loaded, and heaven help you if someone requests something not already in!) isn't a game changer? Chord Sequences saved and Linked to Songbook entries isn't a game changer? Audio multipads isn't a game changer?
Be interested to know what you think WOULD be... |

Some of those things may be a game changer. (for Some people)
But not for me.
Like I said. Some are nice.
But again. I do not need them. _________________ PA900, Sonar Platinum, Live 9 suite, Keylab 61

So what DO you need?
What would have made you want the PA4X? |

O.K. maybe not much of a compromise, but the new one has stuff I want, and I like to buy new gear! _________________ DonM |

I notice the poster only has a PA600 in his signature anyway, so it appears his needs aren't that advanced anyway... |
