So I'm still not sure what it would give me, although I do like the realtime controls and instant access to tweaking it has, so not decided.

One thing I like a lot from the Nord's are the ability to set min and max values velocity modulated - for any knob out there. Means your response very nicely tweaked for expressive sounds from how you play it.

One things that impressed is KK and the virtual patches - which allow this too. Get attack time, decay time or anything scaled to velocity and many, many more things as source and destination. Really powerful - 6 such parameters each timbre, and two timbres each voice - that's a lot of options, if you want that. That said, joystick may pick a parameter etc, but still plenty to do here - if you like tweaking your own sounds.

I just ordered KK for €811(incl 25% swedish VAT, i.e. €649+VAT) - seems like stunning bang for buck to me. But sad for those buying early.

I paid more than that but I've had mine for over a year. I'm not complaining though. It is what it is and I'm really happy with my KK! Sure I could complain about a bunch of things about it, but there's not point in that. The complaints are just things that it's lacking but then again, it's not an expensive machine and the things that I find it's lacking are things that are only found on synths that cost a lot more.
