My mac running El Capitan is not recognizing my SV-1. I have installed the Driver from the Korg USA website then installed the SV-1 Editor software. I did notice some installation errors while trying to install the editor software :
/Library/Java/Extensions/libmmj.jnilib Could not create this file.
/Library/Java/Extensions/mmj.jar Could not create this file

I first turn on the SV-1 then run the Editor software and it will not connect to the SV-1. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm having the same or similar problem; I can pass MIDI note data over USB, but the SV-1 editor refuses to connect under Yosemite and shows only the backup tab. There's already a long thread about this behavior, reported on both Mac and PC platforms, http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=49959 but I don't think it's been resolved on the Mac side, some users of older Macs have gotten relief by rolling back the Korg USB MIDI driver to version 1.0 My best guess is that won't work for El Capitan or Yosemite Mac users, but I've been unable to test this, yet. It's definitely not a Korg problem, on the Windows side, since the Windows registry won't accept more than 10 MIDI devices, but on the MAC it's probably either a Java (JRE) incompatibility or a shite driver. Further compounding the difficulties, Korg has made it very easy to download the wrong driver, and they may in fact be mislabeled on the Korg site.
