Hi Guys,

I'm new to my M-50. It looks like their are 2 Oscillators and each Oscillator can have 4 waveforms. If I load up a sound that only has one waveform (in MS1) I can hear the sound. I assume that I can then activate MS2 (below MS1) and add in a second waveform to blend the two together. The problem is I can't hear the second waveform. I checked the velocity levels and it all seems like it should work.

Is it possible to load up, say 8 sawtooth waveforms into the two oscillators, and then pan and detune them to create a large stereo supersaw-like program? Or 8 electric pianos panned and detuned to create the Yamaha TX-816 Full-Tines sound?

Or am I stuck with just 2 oscillators unless i use combi mode?

All the very best,

Darren

Each oscillator can have 4 velocity switched multisamples. Normally only one is triggered depending on hard hard you hit the key. You can also cross fade between 2 of them to get a smoother transition or layer them so that 2 sound at equal volume.

So the maximum number of multisamples that will play in a program is 4 if you cross fade or layer them, two for each oscillator. To get more than that you will have to create multiple programs and go to combi mode.

Also, you can't detune the individual multisamples so to achieve the results you want you're back to one multisample per oscillator.
