i don't know if you encountered problems yet, me yes.

1. some samples damaged after update, they sounds big explosion noise, at first time i tought it's only the drumsamples but now i see that also few user sound samples has that problem

2. i noticed gui problems (bugs in displaying correctly)

3. volume link - has bug when sliding one of the slides -it doesn't slide the others with the same amount - it slide them from their old volume position and not compared to the actual slide that i moving.

4. midi out in style editor, sometimes midi is going out sometimes not (not related to internal/external/both setting)

5. rom drum samples, some of the samples heard as very high bell-like tone

A FIX MUST TO BE RELEASED , THESE BUGS ARE CRITICAL FOR THE INSTRUMENT TO WORK PROPERLY

please someone from the R&D of KORG to pay attention!

Really ???

My question here is how come many of the others who have updated to 1.2.0 are not reporting this ? Sure there were some sample issues ( user ) but that has already be explained along with a remedy.

Anyone ?

I have modified say the jazz sax, put into user sounds ,all normal so far ..play with whatever style then you decide to raise the volume of the sound ,, this is the part when you move the dial, to raise the volume of the sound , the volume level indicators do their own thing so say you have your sax sound in the middle ,your raise the volume and the sounds either side that you have on- to go with the sound say strings whatever- goes down or up on their, that's with the main combined volume link level off -not on as default
Murphy law its not doing it now weird
Please Paulo I would like user sounds to have a renaming facility added

Hi Thomas

Yep agree - example:- volume link with UPPER 1,2, & 3 selected when you change volume of UPPER 1 the other volumes do weird wild things!!!
Volume link "ON" seems to go wild no matter what keyboard set or style is loaded when you adjust any volume (UPPER 1,2, or 3)

Hopefully will get sorted out.

I strongly believe that Upper volumes are linked by default , which means that when vary an upper volume
then all change proportionally to their saved settings.
Uncheck Upper Volumes Link box from styles menu preferences !

Hi Antony
Unlinked, everything is fine, linked the volumes move in an unrelated manner - completely unusable right now.

Cheers

It would be greatly appreciated if a list of "verified" bugs is posted. I'm sure people who use their keyboards for live performances would appreciate this even more!

What we have so far:

1) Linked upper sounds
2) Loading problem with older SETs???
3) Master Transpose?
4) some Songbook issuesJ?

Are some of these user error...? Verified bugs?

This you might have missed , is that the increment / decrement is proportional for instance :
Let's say we have 3 Upper sounds linked with volume values 105 , 10 & 50 , if we vary 1st sound volume from 105 to 127
value then this is a 20 % increase so changes to others will be at 12 & 60 values respectively or in case you will decrease
middle volume from 10 to 5 value then 105 & 50 will change at 52 & 25 respectively , since this variation was 50 %
decrease of their preset values !

This function is very critical for my commercial PaSeries Sound development , since frequently all 3 STS summary
reproduce one native instrument with 3 sound timbres , so if user wants to increase volume of this instrument
then all 3 volumes must be increased proportinally , else sound will be seriously disordered !

Hope this helps

Thanks Antony but sadly the volume changes are almost erratic - sometimes jumping up and sometimes down even in opposite directions.

It will be fixed I'm sure.

I have to confirm that volume link function is not "almost" but completely erratic ... indeed another addressed bug in OS v1.2 !
I've lost the counting ... maybe after OS v1.3 we might create a more concentrated bugs list !

Paolo , make a proposal at KorgPa marketing team , that all users up to current serial number should get a discount coupon
for next arranger flagship , as a reward to their services as beta testers

I have degree in IT, but I still working on Win 7, and will never upgrade until they fix.
Same with Pa4x, was never secret is OS was buggy a little, everybody should knew this, but I still think Pa4x even with some errors is best Arranger ever made,... and when they correct all will be unbeatable.
BTW. All Pa4x still under warranty, means if somebody think is hardware malfunction can open warranty claim. ...... not complain or even thinking to press charges against.
Korg Team never let any product down and will not let down latest Flagship, just a little bit of patience.
