As perhaps one of Korgs biggest critics of the demise of the Drum ACC Bass on the sliders, I feel I must now express my thanks for the return of this feature and the many other functions that can now be assigned to the 'Assignable User Sliders A & B' with the new update 1.20
This was always a great real time feature and I for one are very pleased to see it back.
Well done Korg ('')

Briefly, it refers to being able to adjust the volume levels of the parts when you are in style mode. You can set the assignable sliders to adjust the levels of Drums, Percussion, Bass and Acc. parts, in the locations you choose. In this way you can exactly replicate the way PA3X did it, or you can totally customize for your own needs and wishes.
You can also choose individual style and/or lead (right hand 1, 2, 3, and lower), pads, and midi file volume levels for each channel. There are two banks of eight sliders that are programmable in this manner, in addition to the two factory pre-set modes and drawbar mode.
It was a PLEASURE taking advantage of this new feature last night on the job! _________________ DonM |

Hi Al
Ever since the intoduction of the Pa1x the default setting for the Drum, ACC, and Bass sliders were Global. ie the settings of the three sliders were not saved into a preset. You were able to use them in Real Time. Although on the Pa4x if you used the 'track select' you were still able to use the sliders for Drum & Bass, the 'ACC slider' has now been given different functions. Being able to fade all five ACC sounds with one slider many considered to be a very important function.
I am very pleased that Korg have now given us the ability to reproduce the original settings plus a whole lot more by using the User sliders A & B
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the explanation Don and Ken!
Yes, I checked this new feature out when I read it in the release notes. When I first got the keyboard last month, I was frustrated I couldn't use the sliders to adjust the Acc parts. Now I assign this function to the Assign B and is a pleasure to use live!!!!
Thanks Again
