I'm brand new to this forum and brand new to owning a Korg. I received a LE 61 two days ago and under every category/prog I have anywhere from 2 to 5 voices/sounds that will not play. I've tried the mfg. reset with no luck correcting the problem. The nearest mfg. repair center is over an hour away. I've emailed Korg Support for help and parts availablity, no response yet. Any suggestions what the problem/fix would be? Thank you in advance.

Originally, on the Triton (not sure if it applies to the LE) some programs were inaudible
they were "carriers" meant to be use along w./ a plugged-in microphone as a vocoder

Also some programs are derived from 'samples' and expansion boards (EXB)
The sample contains the "wave file" expansion boards contain the raw "waveform"

It's possible that the previous owner might have remove his/her own created samples
or might have retained any optional expansion board(s) prior to selling or giving it to you.

That's why you're not hearing sounds from certain programs...

A factory reset w./ all the original Triton LE programs will restore everything back !!!

No prob.. so, was it vocoder programs taking up space ?
Yuno till this day I have yet to plug-in a microphone in the back of my Triton Classic
to try out the vocoder - I figure Roger Troutman and Peter Frampton has done it all
already.....

Anyone else after them doing it will looklike copycats.

I have an Le and there is no vocoder .
Peter Frampton used a Talkbox not a vocoder on "Do You Feel Like We Do".
User samples does sound like a logical explanation.

It's suspected that the previous owner must have some how erased or altered the files? I'm going to have to learn how to delete the original sysex files and reload them with a file I found here about 26 lines down: http://www.korgforums.com/support/triton-classic.htm
Here's hoping. Thanks you all for you replies.
