I own Gadget but never use it.

However, about once a week my iPad says that Gadget has been updated.

Does anyone know the nature of those updates?

Are they software updates by Korg, or is it user content?

Just curious why Gadget says its been updated so regularly.

Mine doesn't update that often. Last one was April 24, 2016 version 2.1.2.

The badge app icon (red dot) does frequently appear and those are just app notifications of some sort.

Mine genuinely updates - approximately once a week. It happened today at around 2pm BST.

I go to my iPad having not used if for some hours and in the middle of the locked screen is a pop up notification that Gadget has been updated.

As said - about once a week!

That's odd. I would go to Settings > Gadget and see what version it says each time you get an update.

I got a notification today that Gadgets Top Chart was updated but that's user submitted songs on the cloud, not the app itself.

So - it's not Gadget software updates - it's cloud updates.

Thanks for that - I was genuinely puzzled.
