|
|
Hello all, first time posting here...I hope I'm in the right area.
Basically Im just getting into synths and got myself an R3 and MicroX.
I'm trying to get the R3 to change banks or even programs every time I switch the multi mode patch on the MicroX so that when performing live I can just turn one knob and be ready to go per song.
Micro X settings
Multi mode
track parameters-
Midi track 7
EX2
midi channel 10
MSB-0
LSB-0......Ive tried 32,20,0 based on info Ive found online
R3 settings
midi channel 10
The most I can get to happen is the program button on the R3 will jump back to the first button when I switch the status on the micro x from BTH to EX2
I hope this makes sense. Any input will be greatly appreciated

Hi,
Not sure it is of any help, because I don't own any of them...
The programs on the R3 are organized in 16 banks of 8 programs, giving 128 programs. But this is more from a user interface point of view.
In its MIDI implementation, all the programs are mapped into 1 MIDI bank that supports the 128 programs. The MIDI bank has 0 for both the MSB/LSB. So that setting is fine.
I would make sure that all your multi-mode sets that you use have midi track 7 set to ex2 + the right MSB/LSB, make sure there are no duplicates for MIDI channel 10 and then try to switch between those multi-mode sets. You may consider combi mode as well.
It may help to hook up the microX to a PC with a MIDI interface and use e.g. MidiOx to see what the microX sends out when changing the multi-mode set.
Good luck _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Yes Thank you for your response.
I got the R3 to respond to program changes quite easily with an Akai MPD232
so It must be the Micro X
It probably has something to do with using multi mode.
I'll try that MidiOx. Thanks again |
