I found this curious piece of information and would like to ask anyone that knows the answer - what does it mean "Number of tone: 12" under sequencer section?

Hi,
Most likely it is a copy paste error. In the context of the sequencer it does not mean anyhting useful.
The 12 tones normally refer to either:
* the step sequencer/drumtrack: up to 12 different percussion sounds can be triggered in a sequence
* the polyphonic arpeggiator: you can hold up to 12 keys, and a pattern using these 12 keys can be programmed.
Obviously in the sequencer mode, the arpeggiator, drumtrack and step sequencer are part of it.
