What is it you want to do with the pa600 in cubase?
You can use it as an input device. Play on the keyboard, record what you play.
You can send chords to it to guide the harmony.
You can send midi to it so it could be a sound module and create sound from the midi you send it.
But there's no control panel type deal that would give you all the control you have when you sit down at the keyboard.
All that and a lot more can be done by just accessing the midi ports and sending midi to and from the pa.
Haven't used Cubase in some time so little rusty about the specifics to get that going. _________________ PA600 Studio One3 |

That's the point, i don't get any device listed as an input device in cubase .. only in the driver's program/menu but not in the DAW it self ... |

Sorry, I thought you were looking for something like a device panel in cubase.
What you're looking for is a usb midi port.
What midi ports do you see in your DAW? _________________ PA600 Studio One3 |

BTW, Korg Pa600 use USB1.1, means if your computer has USB3 or USB2, then will not recognize by Windows.
What version of Windows you have?
What specifications of hardware? (USB ports)
What version of Cubase? _________________ Nemik

In Cubase and most likely Korg Pa is appear as Generic USB Midi, same in Device Manager.
You can manually rename it in registry, but Bus Reported Midi description stay same.
Here is links how to started:
http://www.avoiderrors.net/rename-devices-device-manager/
https://www.eightforums.com/customization/15321-tutorial-how-change-device-names-device-manager.html
Be very careful, this is registry, if you don't know how, ask somebody!!
I believe is a way to do change (overwrite) name appear in DAW, but required Advanced programming skills.
Name you see in DAW (Generic USB Midi) is because driver is not correct written by developers, is something Korg should do.
In Cubase also you need Device Midi Patch Script.
Here is some links to get script:

http://www.rivetedstudios.com/download/all-cubase-patch-scripts/
I don't see there for Pa600, but since this is text file, is easy to customize and make own.
Good Luck. _________________ Nemik

I don't see that you "need" a patch script.
This is back to what it is that you want to do with your PA in the DAW.
You can record midi inside cubase by setting a tracks midi input to the usb port.
That's using the keyboard as an input device.
A patch script would let you choose voices from inside of cubase.
That would be cool on some keyboards but the PA is an arranger keyboard and doesn't work the same as regular keyboard.
You do a lot better picking out what you want the PA to do on it's own color touchscreen monitor, much more powerful then a patchscript.
I don't use the usb interface unless I'm working with the disk, transferring data from the computer to the disk.
I use the legacy midi cables (5 pin din). _________________ PA600 Studio One3 |
