It may have been mentioned in another thread, but I just found a limited Japanese only BLACK edition of the Trinity.

I cannot find any information on this anywhere.

Does anyone know how many of these were made?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unsure, I've never seen any other than custom paintjobs.

Wikipedia however states: "There was a LIMITED EDTION Black Trinity plus made only for the Japanese market. Very little is known about this variant, or even how many were made."

From rear pictures the model name is TrinityBK. The serial number for that model was 000135, and another black Trinity pic I saw showed 000157, which maybe points to a few hundred being made.

Ok, where did you source your info?

I still think the black is sacrilege compared to the native silver, though. Smile The black just looks like a spray job and a tad monotonous.

I did not source any info..I am SEEKING info.

Must disagree regarding the silver. I never liked the silver trinity or Triton. I think the black looks CLASSY.

Not sprayed on, btw.

I owned 2 Trinity + 2 Tritons and actually was very fond of the Trinity brushed silver finish. In low lighting the Trinity was always easy to navigate. The Triton had a painted finish that I didn't like as much. If Korg would have made the Kronos 61 key in Platinum I would prefer it over the black.

Another preference for the brushed aluminum traditional look. Cool

I can confirm that the Black version absolutely exists as I picked one up when I was in Tokyo this past May 2018.

I bought an almost fully loaded Black Trinity Pro serial number 000128. Only thing missing was the DI-TRI.

From all the lore I've heard, it was an ultra low production run.. something like 500-1000 units tops.

I ended up finding a North American PSU on ebay, and swapping out the 100volt Japan PSU as I'm based out of Toronto.

It looks timeless in Black Aluminum. Love it!!
