I have recorded a backing track midi file on my Pa900- using a style, and some multi pads - I THOUGHT that when I recorded it I had the tempo set at 84 bpm, but the file shows 90 bpm ... I have tried several ways to change the tempo to 84 and saving it, but it keeps reverting back to 90 when i go to play it ... I have even over written the original midi with one set at 84, but it STILL shows 90 ... can anyone give me some direction? ...
thank you

Tony:

Make sure that the Globa Media is unchecked. If it is a backing track I assume that it is like a style you created. When go to style edit, events list, select master track thats where you can change the tempo. At least that's where I did it.
Hope that helps.

In sequencer mode go to Menu, Event Edit, Change Track to Master Track (the last one past Track 16). Here you can edit the Tempo.
Cheers,
John

Snorkum and Reuben ... I do believe you were both saying the same thing, but in different words ... THANK YOU, because that worked, and I have learned something new about my Pa900 !!! ... Very Happy

I've read how a few of you have resolved the changing tempo of a midi file but nothing is working for me. I can't save a new tempo. Would welcome any help with this.

You can do it in the same way ppl just explained above. Load the midifile in sequencer, press MENU/EVENT EDIT, change "track 1" with "MASTER". Set there the new tempo, and save the midifile. Thats it!

Done all this. Changed tempo...but cant see an option to save it. I see "insert" and "go get" ?? The drop down only says "undo" and "solo track" ?? How do I save it?

At the risk of appearing to be absolutely dumb I have to say that I have followed these instructions to the letter and still have not succeeded.
I understand that I open file in sequencer, menu, event edit, change to master track,
Change the tempo....then what?? It can't be saved there.

Press Exit, to return to first page and save from the same "top right menu".

P.S. When you load a midi file in sequencer, you can see there the "SAVE" option.
