Sorry if this has already been covered but, is the volca output stereo. At the moment I have it hooked up mono from the headphone jack to a single channel on my mixer. For some reason I have always had a hard time understanding the stereo vs mono side of synths. what are the options with the volca fm |

Yes, the volca FM has stereo out.
In fact, I believe that its chorus effect is stereo channel chorus.
I use breakout cables to feed mine into stereo channels on my mixer. |

Thanks for the quick reply. So I can continue to just have it hooked up as I do now but also could use trs to two mono 1/4inch out to two channels on my mixer for stereo, if I understand correctly. Is it possible to just go stereo out from volca to single channel with stereo 1/4 inch? I was just reading something on "proper cables for volca's" and it just confused me hence my question. Am I overthinking this |

I'd say no to stereo > mono 1/4.
If you want mono use a splitt cable with only one channel. Listen to the chorus fx on and off . Does it sound good on (and different from off). If so you can use it like that and get a diff effect from everyone using stereo.
I woundnt combine stereo dual > single mono because...well the manual on my monotron warns against mono cable plugged into output. Also phase cancellation may make a poor signal (on chorus fx). |
