Bank Problem

Post by nospam@gnelmes.co.uk »

I have intialised the bank and saved it, switched on and on again. The bank is empty. I have samples set up in the editor which I have uploaded. This has been successful except the keys without samples play one of the other samples. I have downloaded this bank and those keys are empty. Any ideas please? It's not really a problem because I can overwrite them but it is still a mystery.

This is intentional on Korg's part and is part of the ingenuity that is the microSampler!

The microSampler automatically transposes each sample down a half-step if the key to the left is empty. In this way, you can sample a piano on the uppermost B key and your microSampler instantly becomes a 36-key piano.

This is the same trick the Keyboard mode uses to spread a sample across all 37 keys. Hope this makes sense.
