|
|
Hi, I'm a beginner in DAW.
I would like to record Audio (and not MIDI) with PA900.
I would like to ask if Behringer Xenyx302USB is able to do the job as an interface between PC (with USB) and the keyboard (with an adaptor of jack/mini jack)
Please excuse my english.
Thank you for Answering |

Yes, you can.
you will need USB cable from mixer to PC
and Dual 1/4" TS Male to Dual RCA Male Cable
here is link for example:

I'm guessing that you want to use DAW to record audio and not midi because you don't want to spend money on good VSTs when you already have very good quality instruments in your PA900.
If that's the case, there's a better alternative. If that's not the case, ignore the following.
You can use your keyboard as an external instrument in your DAW. You just need a usb midi cable to connect your pa to your computer and use it not only as a midi input, but also a VST. The DAW will treat your keyboard as a midi input as well as the tone processor in real time to get the same instrument sounds. In this way, if you want to edit the midi file to correct your mistakes or change the instrument, it's easier. Check your DAW settings to configure external instruments.
For example, I use cubase with pa900 and set it up as an external instrument. I could record up to 16 tracks from this external instrument. If I want more, I'll use audio input or other VSTs I have in cubase. When you use it as an external instrument, you get the same sounds and articulation effects as if you're playing on the keyboard live.
But every time you want to use your keyboard as a vocal processor for your mic and record audio, switch it's settings from external VST to line in audio. _________________
