Hey guys, Smile
Planning to buy KROSS 88 or KROME 73. Iam skeptical about the durability of krome 73 touch screen and durability of kross 88 as well ( its keybeds, weight keys etc.) as I want to have either of them for a long time (5-8 years) and the last thing I want is running around to the service center ( which is not in my city and need to ship it 850 miles across to Mumbai, India). I look forward to do some sequencing for my band and may be record it in a pro-studio. Would be preparing for grade exams (so prefer 88 weighted keys). May integrate with DAW.
Pls guys let me know about their durability and give suggestions for any better board for the same budget of KROME 73.

thnks a ton guys !!! Smile Question

The touch screen is fine as long as you don't abuse it. Use a simple plastic stylus on it, and keep it clean, and it should last a decade.

The Kross is explicitly designed for mobile musicians. It's not a high order keyboard, but should be quite adequate for your purposes.

I have a Kross 61 and it has behaved well whenever I needed it - and I use it frequently.

I have 61-key versions of both the Kross and the Krome. They're both great to work with. Neither one does any travelling, so I can't vouch for how they would respond to getting jostled.

Sequencing or sound modification/creation is of course far easier on the Krome. The touch-screen cuts considerable time off of these processes. It has it's own learning curve, comparable to the Kross. Just different - I had to focus more on navigating with the Kross, getting to learn the buttons. With the Krome, it was more a matter of getting accustomed to navigating the screens themselves and the in-screen menus and selectable items.

With both, it became easy and natural to get around after a two or three weeks of playing around with them.
