I purchased a DW-6000 from someone at a flea market for $50. It played when I bought perfectly and sounded great. Now when I turn it on it works for about 15-20 mins then I get random characters lighting up on the display and it won't play any Ideas?? I personally think the powersupply is over heating or maybe a capacitor is toast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had one of these as a teenager and I remember working at a paper route all year to save the money and my parents matched me dollar for dollar so I could get it. |

Hi
I think after that much time a generous replace for most/all electrolytic capacitors is at least recommended, if not a must... Start with those filtering the power anywhere on the boards (not just the PSU itself). |

Good advice, and it's easy to do. |
