I've lately been using my Microsampler as an effects unit for other synths. The setup is as follows:

1. Attach the send (or sends) to the Microsampler's Line In
2. Attach the returns to the Microsampler's Output
3. Set the Microsampler's input to Line, not Mic
4. Set Sampling:FX Position to AUDIO IN
5. Make sure Input Select is AUDIO IN
6. Adjust the Gain appropriately
7. Adjust the Volume appropriately.
8. Press the Sample button so it turns Green

And you're running! Adjust the effects as you see fit. I'm finding Edisyn indispensible in all this, but I wrote it, so there you go.
