I have the fist original Korg Kronos , Do I have sufficient memory to install ?

Kapro ex's 24 131 - 134 Epic Composer ,

KRS 74 kapro Dream E Motion and maybe a few more library's , I heard by unloading the Japanese grand piano can free up a lot of space

impossible to say without more details on your K

I think we should clarify ' memory '

SSD is the fast hard drive on your K. Korg says its 30 Gig but its really 27 Gig.

Go to DISK/Media info to determine what your " free size " number is.

Your K came with 2 GB RAM. What about your K ? You will likely need to add more RAM and have a current OS to run those sample Libs

The sample Lib developers are clear on what is required - check that out

I would just get the full RAM installed.

Epic Composer is going to require 420MB of virtual RAM. To see how much room you have, you can see in Sample mode or in Global KSC Auto Load settings, which shows FREE MEMORY.

I only have 92 megs free, in this pic:

Great Thanks , I have 244MB free
Would adding 2 x HYNIX 1GB PC2-6400800Mhz DDR2 complete the full RAM installation ?

If it's the classic Kronos, it should have 2 gigs factory installed. You would add 1 gig to that. A couple of interesting threads:

When I install the extra RAM and add the new expansion library , do I need the preset disks ? as I don't have them , the previous owner didn't bother keeping them .

You should be able to add the RAM without any issue.

Definitely get those restore DVDs! Some can be had, here:
