|
|
Finally got around to installing the Korg MIDI drivers and the Kronos Editor 3.1 software on my Macbook Pro (OS 10.10.5).
The editor seems to be able to communicate with my Kronos (v 3.1.1) via USB as I can see the MIDI messages in the monitor. However, the editor display is stuck on "Rendering...."
Any suggestions to fix this are greatly appreciated! |

Make sure you have the sysex parameters enabled under Global on your Kronos _________________ The companions I can't live without: Kawai Acoustic Grand, Kawai MP11SE, Yamaha Montage8, Korg D1
Other important stuff: Kronos2-73, Studiologic NC2X, NI Komplete Ultimate 11, Sonuscore Elysion and Orchestra, Pianoteq, Experimenta Due. |

If you haven't sorted this out yet, try going in to "~/Documents/Sound Quest/UniQuest Kronos 3.1" and delete the file "MQ12.SQ9". _________________ Michael Lambie

I am having the same problem. I start the editor app and it displays "Rendering" for at least 10 minutes (that's as long as I waited).
sysex is enabled on the Kronos
I deleted "~/Documents/Sound Quest/UniQuest Kronos 3.1/MQ12.SQ9" but it did not fix the problem
Thank you in advance for any help. |

If you receive messages when opening the Kronos Editor about undefined MIDI ports, you have to set them first. Next, the messages in the monitor window must be wide and go right up to F column, if you see F7s all appearing for example under the 5 column, communication is not working.
Also, under Preferences make sure (MIDI tab) the MIDI Thru option is off to minimize chances of MIDI feedback. Finally, under Misc uncheck Auto Reload Session. Note that it is normal to wait several minutes for things like getting the complete stuff from a Kronos, there is lots of data. |

Thank you for the reply
I checked those settings and they were consistent with your recommendations.
I uninstalled the old MIDI drivers and installed newer drivers from Korg that were released earlier this year. After rebooting, I plugged in my Kronos, launched the editor app...
and it seems to be working.
Cheers! |

Cool, glad you fixed the problem. I really like the Kronos Editor and find it very useful. |
