Hello everyone,

I understand KORG Pa700, 1000, 4x, 3x support compressed samples. My question is since Pa700 only got 128mb sample memory. How to import a 128mb compressed sample pack (since we have to use a new Pa to compress these samples). Now I have a sample pack that is larger than 200mb and I really have no idea how to use it on a Pa700.

Thanks.

To be honest I'd like an answer to that one as I have a purchased pack for Blackpool Tower sounds that I used on my pa3x and that's 185 mbs. I don't want to try and cut the samples down as it would ruin the effects of the voices.... Confused

I guess now the answer would be finding another Pa like Pa4X or Pa1000 to get the job done which is not the answer I would like to hear.

Sorry I wasn't more positive but I am looking for a solution. If I can find a workaround then I'll post it ... Someone may come up with a solution. Sometimes takes a little time.

I had the same problem trying to load a 232mb sound file on my Pa3x. After receiving a tip from Antony Sharmman I managed to import part of the samples then compress then adding the next section then compress again until all was loaded successfully.

I'm not saying is best solution, because is not free, but is a software Korg Pa Manager which can do compression samples for you and many other cool features. Wink

Thanks Nemik. I am aware of wave extractor. [I promote it on my website] but I think I can now solve the problem in the way that Anthony Sharman explained very quickly. Smile
