Hi all,

I make my Combis split so I have bass on the left part of keyboard and whatever else on the right and that's simple...

What I can not figure out is how to make Karma affect only programs on the right sine of keyboard so I can play my bass patch along without being affected??

Thank you

I'm not near the Kronos but each Karma module has a key range setting that limits what keys are triggering it.

Karma GE setup page. You have Midi I/O option to give each timbre part separate midi channels for karma GE data or both parts can stay on the same channel but you zone Karma Module to only the keys you want karma to respond to.

Go to Karma tab page and then enter the “GE Setup/Key zones” tab page.

The “GE setup” section lets you assign bottom and top key range to each Karma module. You can assign the key zone to match your spilt zone for how you made your bass split zone.

Or you can go to the midi I/O section and give each Module its own output channel and then change the midi channel of your combi timbre(timbre parameters tab page) to match the Karma-module output midi Channel. It is more complicated to do Midi I/O route but it has a lot more benefits when it comes to separating karma module messages from each program layer in a combi.
If all you need is split action rather than complex layer action, then maybe it is enough just doing the “GE setup” section - for top and bottom key zoning of karma modules.

Ok... I am totally lost here now.

When I change midi channel on my bass program (in combi) I loose it completely.
I run this patch trough separate out 4, not sure if that has something to do with it...

Also, I have found how to set up key zones in Karma GE setup, but even though I remove my 'bass zone", karma plays my bass patch along with the others...

How do I set program to play when I change its midi channel in combi?

i've explained this and a lot more in tutorial 14 on my youtube channel. Here's the tutorial.

Just watch it entirely without looking at the step guides on the right. Then when you know what to expect when you do it yourself, restart the video and pause at each stepguide and follow the instructions and you will get the same combi and learn all the combi / karma basics that way.
