I´we read a lot of post about it and it does not look like Kronos can do it.

The hold delay comes close - but sample time is to bit too short.

There was a guy on this forum who was talking about using the sampler to record and loop, but he did not explain further..

Does anyone know if it´s possible to get some kind of loping out of the Kronos especially on the audio side.

Sample time in Kronos is not short. You can set the sample length to what you want and the available sample time is very long unless you have stocked your available memory full of other things.
Sample to disk is still an option just in case you Maxed out your 1gb of standard sample allotment after factory preload uses its fair share.

You are probably right about Kronos being lacking in the Live-Loop area.

For live-looping, you want to be in Sequencer mode where you have both Audio tracks and midi tracks.
You can record to Audio tracks live and have them play back but i only see track-loop available for Midi tracks.
Midi tracks are where live looping is easiest on Kronos.

Sampling mode has a looping feature and that means you make your sample and set up the loop so that when you press the sample assigned key, the sample will play through and recycle over and over again until you release the key or any hold you have over the sample assigned note. Not really a live looping feature.

Midi tracks in Sequencer is where you have the closest thing to live looping.
You could simulate Live looping via audio tracks but i am not sure how seamless the AutoHDR setup options are in live situation or how seamless track edit is if you can even edit tracks while they are playing. Track edit lets you multipy one measure into multipke measures or as many as you specify and that can produce the loop effect for audio tracks.

Sorry if i don’t know how to compare Kronos to real live loop machines.

I meant that the hold delay sample time - which actually is a perfect looper in mono, is a bit too short..

Please Korg - just write a script that makes the Hold Delay stereo and allow for longer sample time. Then there is glorified looper right in the Kronos
