Have a problem with an SP-500. When I turn it on, there is a constant ringing tone from all audio outputs that turns into loud dissonant static garbled noise when a key is pressed, This doesn't go away unless you restart the keyboard, and then it defaults to the ringing noise. I opened it up and didn't notice any visual problems. However, I did notice an issue with a DRAM chip on the main board (LC321664BJ-80). When the keyboard is emitting the high pitch ringing noise, and you lightly tap or even wave a probe (I use a wooden dowel) over the chip, the ringing noise changes in to the loud static garbled noise. Anyone with any suggestions? Is it worth replacing the chip or is this normal behavior for the chip? |
