|
|
Hi...
I'm writing some software to upload individual DX7 voices to the Volca FM.
I can send the voice and it's received by the Volca FM, but it's not stored.
I believe I need to send a system exclusive to tell it to store the voice, or possibly one to simulate pushing the Save button.
Does anyone know what the sysex in question is?
Thanks.

Hi,
According to the Volca FM implementation, it only support the SysEx to upload 1 program (which is not saved) or 32 programs (which are saved).
There a no other messages specified. Maybe it is a undocumented feature, but otherwise, there is not much chance to mimic the save button or save a voice immediately in the current bank.
It's a missed chance, but the MIDI implementation on the Volca FM is limited. It even does not support program changes _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Thanks.
Yes, that does seem like a missed opportunity.
Good to know, through; I can stop looking.
