If playing left hand full chords without rhythm we hear the base sound along with the backing sound but at times for certain rhythms I do hear slap bass while playing depending on how I press the keys (?)

I also noticed that if we gradually press down a full chord via left hand with accompaniment enabled but with no rhythm we do hear a bass slide which is cool.

I'm wondering is there a setting or documentation which points to this behavior explaining how this is controlled or what controls this?

Anyone else figured this out?

My problem is that that slap bass sound shows up when I'm least expecting it. Smile

Thank you in advance for your time.

In Global menu go to Mode Preference and uncheck Bass & Lower Backing

This is because of the bass sound that is selected for the Lower track. There are bass sounds that have samples of sliding and slapping sounds, which are programmed to play based on how hard you press the keys.

You could go into Global and disable Bass and Lower Backing as Nemik said, or, if you do want the bass and Lower part to play, choose another bass sound for the Lower part.

Hope this helps.

You're welcome.

A correction. I meant to say the sound that is selected for the bass track of the style, not for the lower track, but of course, you could change the sound for the Lower track as well if you want.
