That is the main subject than i am interested in it aproximately during 6 months. it is true that only korg italy and oliver firm in germany can do it. But i learnt some methods about the mentality of working locked usb. They are working with a dongel key and in usb sticks there is an only 1 kb encrypted dongel key. Every restarting keyboard it sends different algoritma to set which loaded to Ram. Third part programs can do it but they are big cost, so you must understand a little software coding and buy some programmes. the codes must be suitable for Korg Linux O.S. i tried to lock usb some cracked programmes, i successed and created dongel key, but i could not solve the encryption code of Korg O.S. so, it did not worked. Tried tried more and more, but result did not change Sad

Correct if i am wrong,
i believe that even cloning a locked usb disk,can't copy that small 1 kb encrypted dongel key to the new backup...am i right?

USB sticks do not have any file inside..Only sd cards do have it and it is part of better protection and compatibility.
Also as far as i know ,at least in newer models, all files can be locked (including sounds and styles)...
BTW, i think it is illegal to try to crack the encryption, and most importantly i think it is off the rules of this forum to discuss this in public too...
I can assure you that no public app can do the encryption.
It is a custom algorithm from KORG and very few people (that are trustworthy and have signed a lot of papers ) do have access to the app that encrypts or the code...
