Hey all!
I'm trying unsuccessfully to get foot pedal control of the Wah effect whilst recording an audio track. The lfo will control it as "source" but, no matter how I configure the pedal, it does not work the wah.

The pedal works fine as a master volume control and I've tried to assign it globally and within the effect to different coincident controller #s. Nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Seymour,

Perhaps if you elaborate a bit more on how you've set things up, we might be able to provide you with some assistance Smile

For instance, are you using a filter+resonance in a synth engine or an IFX to create the wha effect? And if through an effect, which effect are you using?

Thanks for replying Gunnar!

I am using a IFX. The behavior is consistent between both "Wah-Amp sim" and "OD/Hi-Gain Wah".

Everything is correctly assigned, as the amp sim and OD clearly effect the signal. I just can't get the foot pedal to work the wah. In Wah-Amp sim, when I select LFO under CONTROL:Sweep Mode, the wah sweeps with the lfo. When I select Dmod and assign Source to cc#004, there is no sweep.

I've also assigned Source to different cc's, and globally assigned the pedal to same. Still no sweep.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Hi again Seymour,

Have you assigned the foot switch under GLOBAL?

I got this working using my damper pedal doing the following.. My Roland dampler pedal has a switch to toggle between continuous and switch mode, so I put it into continuous and plugged it into the Pedal at the back.

Then in the effect, assign the Dmod to CC04 foot pedal.

Then under global -> controllers, make sure pedal is set up to map to CC04.

This worked for me, at least..
