|
|
Hi,
I have downloaded and installed the USB MIDI Driver (1.14_R12) succesfully (I am using Windows 7 64 Bit). But when I start Cubase (5.1), there is no midi connection beetween the Krome and Cubase. I also check midi input with the program "Midi-Ox" and this programs says, there is no midi input from Krome.
So I think the driver doesn't work correctly. But what can I do now? |

SOLVED
I have found out that Windows can only assign 10 Midi entries. So in the past I used different midi connections so I was round about 14 entries. The result is that you have to delete unused midi entries over the registry (regedit), then restart the system and connect again. It works. |

This is a super annoying and dumb limitation. Supposedly it's finally addressed for Windows 10. The Korg driver installs with a removal utility that lets you remove unwanted or corrupted midi drivers. Just uncheck the box "Korg drivers only" in the options. |

You're right. Didn't realize that this it is also possible to delete non Korg entries over that tool. And quite easier... |

I´m new at this. How do you "delete unused midi entries". |

The Korg MIDI drivers need to be installed first, then try:
Start | Programs | Korg | KORG USB-MIDI Driver Tools | Uninstall KORG USB-MIDI Device
The uninstall utility that opens has an option box that, when un-checked, allows the user to uninstall non-Korg MIDI devices. |
