I am working on integrating a lighting controller into my Kronos rig and want to have lights triggered by sequences and also live playing if possible. The problem is my understanding is that the kronos keybed itself only plays on the global (01) channel. Is there some way to use Karma to allow me to set up zones where I could be hitting certain notes on say, ch 16?
I would like to have my lighting rig on 16 just for ease of separation. I guess making zones on global is possible too, just much more difficult. |

Be with KARMA or playing on keyboard, you can do what you want in Combination mode and attribute 16 timbres to whatever Midi Channels you want. |

How to get midi notes to play internal sounds on one channel and the same midi note messages go to an external device set to a different channel?
Karma GE midi I/O but my head feel numb trying to think it through without Kronos in front of me to show it in action. |

Thanks everyone. I guess I was thinking that internal sounds only fire from the keybed for timbres on the global channel.
Works like a charm. |

So you figured it out? |
Sure did, thanks. Actually I asked the question in anticipation of a problem that never occurred. It was easy as pie...
Again I was thinking about a previous problem where I wanted keybed to fire 2 channels of internal sounds. So I had that stuck in my head. |
