My Kronos 2 73 is now three years old and I have not had any troubles with it. I have not gigged with it yet though. It sits on my desk and gets used regularly.

By the way the ModX has the same internal sounds as Montage, but the D/A converters in Montage should be better.
And the keys too.

The Montage has aftertouch. The MODX does not.

I’d prefer Korg dropping the prices of the Kronos by 30% and coming up with a new super Kronos Max.

Hi,
I replaced my Oasys 76 with Kronos LS 88 for gigging reasons about one year ago and never had issues with it.

With the Kronos You have the same workflow like Oasys and You can use the same sounds and combies with a little workaround, what was the main point for me to move to Kronos and not to another company.

Waiting for the next generation of Kronos? Well if You have time to wait for ? one, two, three years? But if You are a gigging musician an need an instrument right now... move to the Kronos.

best regards
SoulBe

I own a 1st gen Kronos since Feb 2012 ... It's frozen maybe 5 times, all in sequence mode while I was doing gigs with a vocalist. It never froze while playing in Combi mode. Still use it, although less due to back problems.
