Hi - I just joined the forum.

I'm an X organist from the 70's and got back into keyboards after a long break.

I recently traded my PA1000 for a Genos which i like a lot

I needed an alternative board to take away - as i take long holidays , so the EK 50 fitted the bill - Inexpensive, self contained, light and portable. Ideal to learn new stuff on and practice + very 'plug and play'

I really like this little instrument. 3 upper voices and a decent OS with some means of saving banks - simply great.
I have a 1400w surround system at home and just hooked it up to that to 'try' WOW!!! its the dogs ..... for very little money .....Ok its not a 4x or 1000 buy hey ho .......it's very fit for purpose and more!

The only thing i miss is a 'left hold' function, maybe its there and I have just missed it ? or another global effect on left might enable this ....you see i am not technical in the least ....if anyone can help ?

Most of the controls are dual function, which is easy to get around, but I cant understand why they simply didn't label the 'Grand piano' function button as 'Home / Grand ' because that's in effect what it is. as there is no 'home' button on the panel - it took me a while to realise this ......durrrr ....

I will keep an eye on the EK section within this forum and would be glad to hear from anyone in my area who also owns one so we can maybe hook up

Thanks -

Keith - Blackpool UK
