I managed to do this once by accident a few weeks ago, but haven't been able to figure it out since.

I've created some custom patches using samples I edited and copied over to the internal HDD. When I go to save my KSC, how do I save a KSC file of just my sample data & multisamples?

99% of the time I end up with something that also contains all of the factory "PRELOAD" sample data as well as any additional KSC's I had pre-loaded, but clearly it's possible to create smaller files b/c importing sounds from 3rd parties etc. usually come with their own small .KSC, and as I said I did it accidentally once somehow.

I've tried doing due diligence of forum searching and youtube video watching on KSC topics, but so far haven't seen this directly addressed anywhere. Apologies if this is a RTFM answer and I missed it.

How about unchecking Preload factory data in global and hit Reload or whatever the function is called in that screen.

You mean the KSC auto-load option under Global? So uncheck the factory PRELOAD, do a re-load to clear out that data, and then create my custom patches etc. in essentially a blank canvas and then save... Interesting idea, I hadn't thought of approaching it that way but I could see how it could work. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

It does work. The first thing is you need to clear the ram by the method described above. (Uncheck all preload KSC in Global and then do a load)
If you’re creating a new multisample (ms) then in disk mode, go to your saved samples (eg on thumb drive) select them and load. Go to sampling mode and go through the process of assigning each sample to the ms. Name the ms! But no more! Then go back to disk mode and select internal hard drive and create a folder to put your ksc files in. Open the folder. Then select save samples. Important: tick the box at the bottom of this menu that says something like disconnect all links with other programs or similar. Name you ksc then save it. Voila!
Important only save one KSC in each folder you create, otherwise the loader can get confused.

You now need to go back to global mode and recheck each KSC you want to auto load. Select add KSC and navigate to the fold you put your new KSC in. Select the file which has underscores and an extension.ksc. The add button at the bottom of the window will go black (it’s greyed out until you select something it recognises) click add to bring the KSC into the pro load menu list. Tick it’s box and then (once you’ve selected all the KSC in the list you want to auto load, select do preload now.. this will load the whole sample set you selected.
