|
|
Am probably going to get a PA 700, but if I can swing it I'd love to have the aftertouch of the PA 1000.
? How accessible is the aftertouch implemented? With some keyboards you have to press really hard to get aftertouch to trigger.
? Is it truely aftertouch or is it after switch? On some keyboards you have very little expression available, so yes you can trigger aftertouch, but it's mostly just on or off, without much sensitivity to vary how much aftertouch is triggered.
Thanks,
Randy
PS The speakers on the PA 700 are 25 watts for each side. The PA 1000 jumps to 33 watts per side. Is it a very noticeable difference? The onboard speakers are very important to me _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000

On the PA1000, the aftertouch is progressive and does not require hard pressure to activate it.
For example, with Harmonica DNC you can gradually lower the key to a semitone.
However, but I guess you already know, it's not a polyphonic aftertouch.
I found the PA1000's sound volume significantly higher and with deeper basses.
These points are part of the reasons why I chose the PA1000 over the PA700.

Damn! Was hoping I could get away with the PA 700. Well-implemented aftertouch and more powerful speakers are pretty sweet!!! _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000
