|
|
Hi to everyone
Need little help on this.
I connected my new studiologic sl88 grand via midi into Pa4x in order to play one of upper sounds. The problem is that no matter how I hit the keys on sl88, the upper sound on pa4x comes out with full velocity (127).
Using the same sl88 settings in cubase, I can confirm that the sl88 works fine and send velocity range according to my playing technique.
Also, everything is normal when I play from pa4x keybed.
My conclusion is that something is wrong into pa4x but can't figure out what.
Thanks in advance for any info could help _________________ Korg Pa5X88, Ketron Event, Rme FF802, Yamaha HS8, Cubase, VSL, EWQL, Kontakt, Spectrasonics, Motu Ethno ... ets ets but no time at all to play with. |

Hi,
as far as I know, it has SL88 4 zones. If you use a different MIDi channel in Cubase than with PA4X, it behaves differently. There is a possibility that the SL88 in this zone (MIDI channel), with which you are feeding PA4X, has the set dynamics on FIX.

Thanks for feply
On this particular program only one zone is active, midi channel 1 and I tried all available velocity curves and midi cc messages on pedals and joysticks. No success on pa4x while doing same things on cubase or standalone pianoteq all works just fine. _________________ Korg Pa5X88, Ketron Event, Rme FF802, Yamaha HS8, Cubase, VSL, EWQL, Kontakt, Spectrasonics, Motu Ethno ... ets ets but no time at all to play with. |

Hmm?
Really unusual. I use Alesis Vortex2 as my master keyboard. Upper 1 is "closed" for PA4X for certain combinations. Vortex works with full specter of dynamics, as I have set up on Vortex. The logic is that the internal settings of the dynamics have no effect on the external keyboards. So there must be a problem somewhere in Studiologic. It may be trying to set up another zone and various dynamic curves. _________________ Polysix, Poly 800, DW6000, DW8000, DS8, M1, PA1X Pro, PA2X Pro, Kronos X 61, PA3X Pro, PA3X LE, PA700, PA4X 76, PA1000, Kronos SE and now Nautilus 73 and Casio PXS3000, Cubase 12, NI Ultimate 12, Komplete Kontrol S49,ReFX 3.0,Roland FR1X. |

Find it (stupid little nr)
At global/midi/velocity range was set at 110 and should be to normal.
Lost 10 hours for that sh.... _________________ Korg Pa5X88, Ketron Event, Rme FF802, Yamaha HS8, Cubase, VSL, EWQL, Kontakt, Spectrasonics, Motu Ethno ... ets ets but no time at all to play with. |
