|
|
Hi,
So my problem is that the midi data from the sequencer (and keys) is sending to all tracks in Logic Pro x.
Basically if I have a sequence playing (korg xd) on a channel in logic (is is set up using external device, correct audio in and say midi channel 1). I then have a track set up for my rev2, same input method but on say midi channel 2...
The problem is that logic records all the sequence data from the korg xd onto the Rev2 track!! Help, not experienced this before.
I think I need to stop the Xd sending midi to other instruments - but I’m stuck. My rev2 isn’t displaying the same problem.
Cheers

Check the MIDI channel setting on the XD, make sure you are not in OMNI mode (which will send and receive on all channels). _________________ Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here |

Omni Mode only applies to the receiving end by definition, as in ignore channel data and accept all incoming commands, regardless of MIDI channel. In this situation, it would mean that the Rev2 is the one that might be set to Omni mode (receiving in all channels), rather than the XD. |

Many thanks - this has helped me trouble shoot the problem! Just need to figure out how to implement this in logic. I think logic holds my problem. The Rev2 is set up to only receive on channel 1&2. |
