thank you for the pictures
now I understand , that you have glued the washer
on top of the transparent "shield" Idea
I could imagine that for WD players with a snare stand ,
an extension down to the floor with a sling for the big toe
could allow double handed rolls with effects at the same time.
(not kidding)

your name for this is "FLID (Funny little Irish Drum)" ?
may I suggest a more respectful name ?

The "WaveDrahn"

Yes, I was going to suggest a foot control extention, it may be worth using a leather or metal ring. Extend it to the floor and use your foot (but don't forget if you've tied it to your big toe!)

It's not blood on the line, just discolouration.

It's not glue at the end, I've simply heated the end up in a mild gas flame and flattened it off when hot on a flat surface, I've filed the washer so it's not too thick and get in the way or restrict the tensioning of the head.

FLID - It would only be disrespectful if any disrespect was intended. As My Mother is Irish - no disrespect intended! That was just a light hearted suggestion. I think I'll call it Kord WD (side on)
or "WaveDrahn" - even better

Best regards

NH

I love watching him play. Such a deeply talented musician with an immense sense of groove. Truly inspiring.

He hasn't made the adaptation to control the pressure sensor from the base of the WD as I describe above.
