Can anyone help a keyboard learner with this please?

I’m trying to learn Europa by Santan but can’t figure out which style to use.

Any help will be appreciated.

Kind regards
Johnmak

Hey Johnmak

Try the factory BALLAD>>Organ Ballad at about 80bpm and also the factory LATIN>>Bossa Nova 1

You need 2 styles to achieve the double-time part of the song (unless you create your own from scratch!!!)
So you could do something like this (create two SONGBOOK entries):-
    SONGBOOK #1
    Select BALLAD>>Organ Ballad
    Set tempo 80
Select your lead instrument - e.g. KEYBOARD-SET "Carlos Guitar3" (already has nice LOWER organ)
Select the VAR you want (e.g. 2)
SAVE as a SONGBOOK item here e.g. call it Europa1)

    SONGBOOK #2
    Select LATIN>>Bossa Nova 1
    Set tempo 80
Select your lead instrument - e.g. KEYBOARD-SET "Carlos Guitar3" (already has nice LOWER organ)
Select the VAR you want (e.g. 3)
SAVE as a SONGBOOK item here e.g. call it Europa2)

Now have a go:-
In SONGBOOK select Europa1 and get playing (stay in SONBOOK mode)
when you get to the double-time bit just select (press) Europa2 (great!! just one Press and it loads!!)

etc...etc...

Hope this makes sense - let me know how you go and if you need more help.

Hello,

I’m still on OS 2.2 too and not dare to install OS 3.01 yet. Is the OS V3.01 safe to upgrade now? I’ve read that it still has some critical bugs such as sudden restart or loading wrong samples.

Hi patpsc

This is way off topic but I am having no problems with 3.0.1 and using it in 2 "bands" and for composing.
Yes, like all keyboards and OS levels, there are some bugs but nothing is affecting me at all - in most cases I find a work-around if there is an outstanding problem.

Try it - you can always go back to 2.2 - just backup all your data.

Cheers
