I have USB stick connected containing midi files.
On Song Selection Page it shows (Korg Disk) in device section.
When I press arrow for drop down menu, where I would expect to see
USB Disk, nothing happens.
Any Ideas? |

The best way to make sure that a USB flash drive works with the PA is to format it first with the PA and then upload files to it with a computer. |

Once you have it functioning do Backup your full Operating System and perform a separate Save As command saving both the files generated to separate folders on your USB drive. _________________ Biggles

Since the plugged USB flash drive is not showing or detected in Korg Pa700 media, could you please explain how we can format it in the PA700?
Thanks |

I plugged my USB flash drive into Pa700 and went to Media > Format but it still not showing it.
So that means if the USB flash drive is not detected by Pa700 so we cannot do anything, whatever Media pages we are into it. |

My guess is that a PC is not seeing the USB either.
I assume that you are using a PC and not a MAC, that is.
If your PC is not seeing the USB then it is damaged, Disk Manager will see it but you cannot do anything.
You could try a proprietary recovery system, but if all else fails buy a new USB device.
OR
If the PC sees the USB device look to see how it is Formatted and come back to us.
TIPS
Always Eject a USB device from a PC, never simply unplug it. If it is still being written to or interrogated by Windows then the device can be fried.
I do the same on my Korg, I always plug in and remove with the keyboard powered down. _________________ Biggles

Have you tried another flash drive? If it's the same, it may be the USB port that's defective.
Otherwise, I've already had a stick that's not recognized while the others are. Not all sticks are equal |

If you formatted the USB drive on your MAC that is the problem, it is not formatted with a system that the PA can see.
If you can get the USB to a PC and see if Windows sees it. If it does then format it on the PC, take it to your PA and see it the PA sees it.
Or you could try reformatting it in your MAC but using Fat32 as the format type
Alternatively stick a microSD card in the second memory location and use that, it should come with a SD adaptor which will plug directly into your Mac.
I use both on my 700 and backup the op system and the Save All dot set file to both. _________________ Biggles

The Ops problem is that his PA does not see the USB drive.
The PA cannot format a drive it cannot see. _________________ Biggles
